When Aimee Maiden and Nick Wheeler were engaged to be married they were going through childhood photos at Nick’s grandparent’s house, they made an unexpectedly AWESOME discovery.
Whilst looking at an adorable photo of Nick as a child on the beach, guess who they spotted in the background?
Yep. Aimee.
This picture taken 19 years ago, shows Aimee Maiden (circled left) and Nick Wheeler (circled right) at Mousehole beach, Cornwall. They had no idea their paths had crossed as children before they saw this grainy snap.
Yeah you might be thinking “are you serious, what are the chances, right?”. But love is a funny thing and it works in weird and mysterious ways. Maybe it was meant to be from a very early age.
The little girl in background (yes, Aimee) had no idea at the time that she would one day marry the young boy getting his picture taken.
20 years later, they are now married.
At the time the photo was taken Aimee grew up in Cornwall, and Nick lived 300 miles but just happened to be there on that day visiting family.
I’m sure if they knew at the time that they would be future husband and wife, they would probably yell YUCK and run away. But two decades later they tied the knot on Saturday, with an awesome story to tell the grandkids some day.
