Best Film on Environment conservation/preservation award went to Malayalam film 'Ottaal'.

Aadim Vichar' won Best Oriya Film for its vibrant portrayal of a tribal community whose enabling humanism shows a way out of pettiness and prejudice.

Ain' won Best Malayalam film for its gently nuanced narrative in which a carefree young man embraces responsibility and compassion for the lives of others.

Dolly Ahluwalia bagged her third National Award today. She picked the award for the outfits she designed for 'Haider'. She had earlier won an award for Best Costume Design for 'Bandit Queen' (1993), and later, as Best Supporting Actress for 'Vicky Donor' (2012).

Vijay was given Best Actor award for Kannada film 'Nanu Avanalla Avalu'.


Best Kannada Film was awarded to 'Harivu' which narrated the pathos of a father's struggle to provide medical treatment to his only child and his long trek back home with his son's corpse.

Bobby Simhaa bagged the award in Best Supporting Actor category for his Tamil film 'Jigarthanda'.

The film Chandamama Kathalu, which has eight sub-stories revolving around love, won Best Telugu Film

Critically acclaimed 'Killa' won Best Marathi Film and special jury award for its child actor Parth Bhalerao.

Kuttram Kadithal, that explores an interesting spectrum of lifestyles and how one unexpected incident influences people from diverse lifestyles won Best Tamil Film.

Adityavikram Sengupta's 'Asha Jaoar Majhe' won Indira Gandhi Award For Best Debut Film Of A Director.

Priyanka Chopra starrer 'mary Kom' which won several awards this year bagged an award in Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment category.

Srijit Mukherji won an honour in Best Direction category for Bengali thriller 'Chotushkone' which featured Aparna Sen, Goutam Ghosh, Parambrata Chatterjee and Chiranjeet Chakraborty in key roles.

'Nirbashito', based on the life and times of Taslima Nasreen won Best Bengali Film.

'Othello', based on the perennial life of a river, won Best Assamese Film award.
'Punjab 1984', based on the 1984-86 Punjab insurgency's impact on social life, notably it is a story of a mother and her missing son, won Best Punjabi Film award. Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Kirron Kher, the film is the fourth collaboration between director Singh and actor Dosanjh.

'Queen' for Best Movie and Kangana Ranaut for Best Actress: Queen bagged two National awards this time.

Best Male Playback Singer award went to Sukhwinder Singh for 'Bismil', a popular track from 'Haider'.

G Dhananjayan bagged an award in Best Writing on Cinema category for Pride of Tamil Cinema.

Best Animation Film award went to 'Sound of Joy'.
